Off To A Great Start

So, I started my blog in February and now it's April, and this is my second post already!  I'm doing great, right?  What WAS all that stuff I said in the first post, about "making time" for what you love?  My problem is, I love doing too many things, and some of them take a great deal of time.  Example:  I love riding my horses (yes, that word is plural, which only complicates the whole time-issue-thingy).  So, along with RIDING goes stall-mucking, horse-moving (whereby you rotate horses through stalls and pastures to give them optimum environment), injury-treating (you don't want to KNOW everything I've had to treat for in the last year--did you know Desitin is NOT just for a baby's behind?), feeding, tack and barn cleaning--oh, the list just goes on and on.
Maybe (just maybe) because of my schedule, I've been really tired lately, and I realized today I've started to motivate myself with food.  Can't wait to see where this ends up (in that Desitin place?)  A typical day goes like this:  I start my morning outside doing chores for up to an hour or more, and am famished when I get inside, so breakfast is in order.  I make it pretty well through helping Kaela with schoolwork throughout the morning, but by noon my energy is dipping.  Time to go ride?  I need a bean burrito and a latte first.  Stalls need cleaned?  Oooo, graham crackers and Nutella with a chocolate truffle latte sure sounds good.  Goat pen needs raked?  First I need a HUGE salad with LOTS of green garlic-stuffed olives, and a caramel latte.  Afternoon feeding time?  "Hey, Kaela, while you're at it, make me a couple of those peanut-butter celeries" and a latte.
I am hopeful that once the weather decides to stay sunny and warm I'll find my energy again.  For now, I sit gazing out at the clouds and realize it's time to go move and feed horses, chickens and goats.  As soon as I finish my caramel latte.

Well, Now I've Done It

I've gone and started a blog.  I've been thinking about doing this for years, but kept putting it off (the dishes need done--horse stalls need cleaned--my child needs help with math--goat pen needs cleaned).  But hey, life is full of all those pressing things, and you still have to make time for what you love.  So, here goes.  I'll be back later, dishes need done.
